2. Nitobe Memorial Garden

Located on the campus of the University of British Columbia, this authentic Japanese tea and strolling garden features a lovely teahouse that is especially beautiful when the cherry trees blossom in the spring. The principles of harmony, balance and tranquility were employed in the garden's design. Evergreen trees are placed in contrast to the well-tended shrubs, flowering plants and footbridges.
