KITSILANO.   Fine wine, comforting Italian home cooking and the smooth tones of a jazz combo can be found nightly at either of Rossini's two locations in Kit's Beach or Gastown. The family owned establishment features a warm welcome from friendly staff and a cozy exposed brick dining room. The menu chock full of favorites like veal parmiggiana, fried calamari and baked canneloni complemented by an extensive wine list featuring Italian varietals. Local musicians fill the schedule, but it is not uncommon to see the likes of Charlie Byrd or The Ray Brown Trio here as well.   (© 10Best)
