Owner Francesco Alongi's family has a long history of being in the restaurant business beginning with his grandfather in Italy, so you know what you eat here will be as true to the flavors of the native country as possible. Try risotto or the seafood linguine or a half chicken, Tuscan style. A house specialty is the wild game menu that features such items as boar in an Italian sweet and sour sauce. Outstanding experience My colleague and I enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Don Francesco Ristorante on Burrard St, Vancouver. We both ordered the Dinner Fixe which included an appetizer, dinner and dessert. Each item was outstanding, with great flavours exploding in your mouth. The dessert was very light, with perfect subtle flavours and was a just a perfect ending to a perfect dinner. The service was outstanding (rare these days). I had to write a review - (never have) as it was that great of an evening.
