DOWNTOWN. Posh, chic, sophisticated and laid back – everything to look for in a lounge is here on the waterfront at Azure. Not to mention a full menu of tasty appetizers, entrees and desserts, a full complement of beverages, and the refreshing outdoor patio (heated against the chill months) for dining and drinking al fresco or catching a breath of fresh air after sitting at the sleek bar. Wide screen TVs cater to sports buffs while candelit tables are just right for an intimate soiree at Azure's two levels of lounging pleasure.

DOWNTOWN. It's elegance personified at this hotel lounge, whose crackling fireplace, plush appointments, and polished wood detailing speak of Old World luxury. Great cocktails are a welcome standard after work as professionals stop in for moneyed socializing and attentive service. Later into the evening, a pianist plays familiar melodies and even takes requests if there's a song you must hear. An ideal place to treat yourself to a measure of the good life.

DOWNTOWN. Shimmy into those casually fabulous threads and get ready to dance. One of the new kids on the downtown scene, Club 686 sports a long, glossy bar pushed right up to the dance floor, 3 VIP areas with high definition plasma TVs and a host of hotties shaking their moneymakers and taking to the poles in the upper alcove. DJs make sure the late night crowd just won't quit. For a breather, grab a bench behind the poles or near the floor and drink a sophisticated cocktail.

DOWNTOWN. This hip lounge riffs on its name, thanks to '60s-era decor, artwork and drinks that pay homage to Ginger Rogers and Ginger Grant, and an Asian-inspired menu. The cozy club draws a fashionable crowd, who relish its tasty cocktails and pillow-dressed sofas, which boast burnished tones. DJs add atmosphere with house music, and female performers recall the days of burlesque from time to time. A great place to lie back and enjoy the evening.

DOWNTOWN. Plush Nightclub is a cross between a laid back lounge and bar custom made for chillin' and a high-energy dance club. Bumping into the wee hours, this newly renovated space can accommodate a crowd but still feel cozy thanks to the two levels and three bars. Lots of steel, glass and wildly geometric floor covering and upholstery make you feel like you've entered a modern art stage set. Shake your thing under the 15-foot mirror ball or sit back in the cushy sofas and groove to trance, hip hop, even top 40 in any one of the intimate seating areas.

DOWNTOWN. Though the interior of Republic practically shouts industrial with a London twist, the surprise is the array of menu items which are elevated pub grub such as yam fries, seafood munchies and delectable sweets. The dining crowd is a mixed bunch, but as the night wears on, the beautiful people pack in to groove to a vast selection of music that is as expansive as eclectic. Fast becoming the latest hotspot, don't be surprised to see celebs and music industry folk cozying up to the locals.

DJs spin everything from 50's sockhop selections on Mondays to punk, reggae, trance and funk every night of the week.
