Carvers, a Downtown Steakhouse in the Heart of Richmond. Designed in the classic American Style Steakhouse the menu is deceptively simple using top quality ingredients while the chef also ensures a commitment to ethical farming and ranching. All beef is Certified Angus from Canadian ranches. Choose a traditional aged steak and side dish combination or live a bit on the wild side choosing bison, some BC wild forest mushrooms or a wild northern caribou.

Menu showed a willingness to branch out from the typical Thai food so prevelant these days. Our party of six was seated promptly. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered a variety of items as we all wanted to try both traditional and more adventurous creations. Everything but the conch appetizer was superb; better than I have had at any other Thai restaurant, and I've been to many. Waterfront location a plus as well.

The restaurant's decor of red, black, cream and stainless steel offers a sleek modern feel while the ambiance is relaxed and comfortable. The main restaurant with a mix of intimate booths and open table settings, complete with full sound and light system, has the best dance floor and stage. Try coconut shrimp and avocado egg rolls to start. If you love garlic, you'll love their homemade Caesar salad dressing. For the main course, try the fall off the bone, St. Louis BBQ pork ribs or the grilled chicken Oscar--all at an unbelievable price. Plus, there is no cover for dancing and lots of free parking. What more can you ask for a magnificent night out without the kids?

A cheesecake bakery cafe that offers many different flavors of cheesecakes.
Located in a small strip mall on Bridgeport. Not an excellent location but an excellent quality of cheesecakes.
Personal favorite - the plain New York style.
Good European atmosphere and reasonable price.
They have great frapps too.

“Urban and stylish, sophisticated yet casual…Yaletown’s newest arrival is a hip lounge with some of the best tasting share plates in town. Considered to be one of Vancouver’s most creative up-and-coming new talents, Executive Chef Ryan Zuvich has hit his mark with a tapas style menu for true food lovers. The long narrow room with exposed brick and beams has a sleek design with a modern feel. Even the music is funky and fresh.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday. It is like a modern Thai Restaurant. I ordered the Chocolate Pear Martini so delicious. he food did not just taste spicy but very flavourful. They also are the first Thai Restaurant to win the NY Wine Spectator Award in Canada. They have huge wine list. When I was there they had actors Samuel L Jackson, Rebeca Stamos and the guy from Transporter 2. Very busy place. Try it.

The food. The service. The prices. The location. The atmosphere. It's a sophisticated place to have lunch/brunch everyday until 4:00. They offer a full bar and very wise and sophisticated selections. It's a great spot to treat someone for business or a special occasion or just Sunday brunch. It's a diverse, sophisticated, but easy menu to love. It's relaxing and not too uptight and you can have one of their spectacular deserts afterwards or just go for desert only

We just went to Urban Thai with a group of friends last Sunday for their All You Can Eat Buffet. Actually, we've been here at least two times before, other times we went mostly to Thai House in Lonsdale Quay (same franchise). This location in Yale Town is one of the nicer Thai Houses. The food came pretty quick and it tastes just right, it's like ordering a gourmet food but not the price. My friends were very impressed with the quality and taste. So if you're up for good Thai food, go to Urban Thai, which I think is better than the Thai House in Lonsdale Quay. I love spices so I like it strong, pungent, and spicy, but if you like Thai food on the mellow side, then go to Thai House. If you decide to go to Urban Thai don't forget to eat their dessert, black rice with coconut milk (last time we went the rice was undercooked but other than that everything else was great). Last weekend was perfect and I definitely will try it again. Great atmosphere inside and it's closer to where we live. Guys, their weekend deal is a great bargain at merely $11 per person and all the meals are cooked to order. It's cheaper than ordering a la carte.
