JAMES BAY.
The Gatsby Mansion is an 1897 Victorian beauty blessed with stained glass windows, detailed paintwork, glittering chandeliers and dark wood paneling, the whole surrounded by the verdant landscape of Belleville Park. The complete presentation includes steaming tea, warm scones with jam and Devonshire cream, finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, diminutive desserts and decadent chocolate-Pernod mousses.

too bad
This has the makings for a great afternoon tea experience as the old victorian style buiding is fitting. I wish the waiter had informed us before that they were not set up for tea sevice that day ,even though it was advertised as being on fri. sat. and sun.and this was a friday. No scones,a claggy muffin instead with jam and a pea sized spot of" devonshire cream "which was actually not at all(canned whip cream maybe) four dry little unimaginative sandwhiches.A few slices of "fresh fruit" which looked like they had been cut for hours. To end ,three store bought cheap incredient squares ,,really tiny and chocolate pernod mousse??no!!! A tiny liquer glass of vanilla ice cream!!! Nor was there premium loose leaf black tea ,oh no, simply tetleys which you choose out of a tea box with finger prints all over it. All this for 25$ a person! We did complain, our waiter seemed embarrassed by it all but we assured him it was the food not him ,though he was less than comfortable serving tea . Not his forte' Read the reviews for White Heather teahouse .They know how to make ,serve and price a fantastic tea!I do want to be fair here .Our complaint was taken very seriously and we did not have to pay and waiter would not take the tip either. I believe they want happy customers and were in some kind of transition state? We were told the tea is popular in summer by the waiter.I hope they kick it up a notch or drastically reduce the price.
