In addition to being known as a place for a romantic dinner, it is an excellent venue for a small, intimate dinner party. Our party of 7 were able to talk quietly and privately, yet had no fear of disturbing other diners. The food was an excellent exploration of regional food sources. With guests who are well traveled and knowledgeable, the quality and originality were a hit, and the presentation made an immediate positive impression. The opportunity to savor BC and Vancouver Island wines (which have limited distribution) was a highlight to the dinner. David, the owner/host was able to spend time with us and help us select wines which were an ideal match for each course, but were also a great progression from wine to wine. From the initial welcome through to an excellent dessert, the whole experience was a wonderful beginning for our week in Victoria, and was an easy match for high-end restaurants in Toronto and Montreal.
