FERNWOOD / HILLSIDE.   Part of a small Canadian chain, Moxie's offers an inviting, slightly rustic atmosphere with stone fireplaces and dark woods. The extensive menu is casually upscale and internationally influenced. There are several creative meal-size salads and interesting gourmet pizzas (tandoori chicken; asparagus and goat cheese), plus steaks, chicken and seafood dishes. At lunch, you can also opt for a tasty burger or sandwich. For dessert, try the brownie (an indulgent concoction of white and dark chocolate with vanilla ice cream), or the juicy blackberry apple crisp.
