DOWNTOWN. Victoria's British roots are in evidence at The Sticky Wicket. The wood interiors and antique glass showcase cricket and sport themed rooms, including a game room with darts. Guinness and microbrews are on tap, along with traditional pub fare. And a more surprising offering – the Rooftop Patio (yes, on the roof) with beach volleyball!

DOWNTOWN. Housed in a renovated feed house dating from 1913, the soaring ceilings and ground-floor greenhouse make this one of Victoria's most unique pubs. The owner's extensive art collection is regularly on display, and there is live music five nights per week. The beers are delicious and all brewed on site. Try one with some fish and chips or bangers and mash.

INNER HARBOUR. Inspired by Colonial India, the Bengal combines the best of British and Indian décor with a satisfactorily relaxing and atmospheric result. With its views of the Inner Harbour and the rose gardens, it's ideal whether you're looking for a full meal or just a cocktail. An a la carte menu is available, but their curry buffet is especially popular at both lunch and dinner – you'll find a variety of traditional meat and vegetable based dishes complete with all the condiments. Friday and Saturday nights the Bengal features live jazz (8:30pm-11:30pm) and an incredible chocolate dessert buffet (6pm-11pm).

VICTORIA WEST. Overlooking the scenic Inner Harbour, Spinnakers opened in 1984 and remains a Victoria favorite. The beers are brewed in small batches on-site, so they change frequently. Seasonal brews are featured as well. Adults may enjoy their ales and lagers in the Taproom upstairs, where someone is always ready for a game of darts or pool. If you're looking for a more family-friendly atmosphere, try the restaurant on the main floor. You'll find an excellent selection of lunch and dinner options, and the same fine beers. Be sure to check out their Provisions store, which stocks Spinnaker's Malt Vinegar, along with a variety of deli items, baked goods and candies, all made on the premises.

DOWNTOWN. This pub is a wonderful place to relax with a pint while you enjoy the harbour view and live music several nights a week. There about 20 beers on tap, many of them microbrews, and a nice selection of ciders and cocktails from which to choose as well. The menu consists of hearty pub grub with a bit of an international flair.
