5. Kirche am Hof

1ST DISTRICT.   This picturesque Catholic Church is dedicated to the Nine Choirs of the Angels. It was founded by the Carmelite friars near the end of the 14th century and now serves as a parish for the Croatian community. The Baroque façade is original and features a large balustrade balcony. An interesting high altar and magnificent frescoes highlight the interior. Tiny, quaint shops are tucked in between the buttresses of the Gothic choir at the back of the building.   (© 10Best)
