The Buzz -- Start your New Year's Eve celebrations early and watch a range of entertainment around the city. Stages are erected on the Graben and Kaerntnerstrasse, in front of the Town Hall, Am Hof, on Michaelerplatz and at many other locations. The music ranges from classical to karaoke. There are plenty of food and drink stalls along the route, but if you don't like crowds, you can get off the main route and eat at a restaurant. The brave can see in the New Year to the sound of the "Pummerin" in front of St. Stephen's – watch out for high-flying alcohol and low flying fire-works.
