1ST DISTRICT.   One of the most famous places in Vienna, serving one of the most famous cakes in the world. The Sacher Torte was first baked in 1832; it is still baked in-house to the original recipe. Although it is clearly a chocolate cake with an apricot jam filling, the full recipe remains a secret. You may have to queue to get a table, but it's worth the wait. If you just want to try the cake or take one home as a gift, you can buy them at the Sacher Shop.   (© 10Best)

It was like being able to eat and have coffee in a jewelry store, except the jewels were all pastries.
