(based on 1 user rating) EDITOR REVIEW: WACO. Promoted as the oldest major soft drink in America, Dr Pepper was invented by Waco pharmacist Charles Alderton in 1885. Immediately popular with locals, the beverage was originally called a "Waco." This museum, located in Dr Pepper's former bottling facility, traces the history of the drink and of the soft drink industry through ads, artifacts, memorabilia and machinery. It also uses Dr Pepper as a model of America's free enterprise system. On the premises is a soda fountatin that sells Dr Pepper and ice cream treats made with the local beverage. 10Best User Reviews
