5. Health Camp

WACO.   A throwback to another age – and a definite candidate for local institution – Health Camp is small, simple and unassuming. It sits on the Waco traffic circle and affords great views of the frenzied maneuvers going on outside. The name is absolutely tongue-in-cheek, because the food you'll find consists largely of burgers, shakes, fries and chili dogs. Everything is decadently delicious, but it's unlikely that you'll lose weight by virtue of the menu. When you're dealing with tradition, though, that shouldn't be a concern.   (© 10Best)

This was my third visit and I will never go back because the service is so bad. One of the staff members was talking on the phone while one cooked and one rudely took orders. The hamburger was terrible; the hot dog not much better. We did not finish our meal. It is a shame that a business with such history is being run into the ground by poor service.
