4. The Shops of River Square Center

WACO.   What was formerly a turn-of-the-century hardware emporium and warehouses is now Waco's premiere shopping and dining destination. Here, some of the city's top restaurants are clustered, and here, unique shopping is an unusual but welcome standard. Upscale boutiques feature home decor, children's clothing, art, apparel, gifts, antiques and collectibles. You can also get a glimpse of Texas tastes on a variety of fronts.
