DOWNTOWN.
Posh IndeBlue wins high marks from scenesters for the bold Franco-Indian fare served in its restaurant. Downstairs is a suave lounge where the well-heeled clientele settle into sexy furniture and enjoy Beluga caviar and foie gras along with their glass of pinot or an expertly-mixed cocktail. Wednesday through Saturday nights, the lounge also hosts some of the capital city's top DJs, who add to the cosmopolitan atmosphere with their hand-picked selections of world beats. Neat to note: IndeBlue's cocktail menu is designed to resemble a Metro map. METRO: Gallery Place/Chinatown

Great evening there, food was great, DJ was fantastic. A bit pricey, but the crowd was worth it. Would definitely recommend it.

My sister came to visit me in DC for her birthday and I wanted to take her to a nice restaurant. Instead of getting drinks we opted to dine at the restaurant on the second floor. The cuisine is a fusion between Indian food and French. As a huge fan of French food I was eager to get down and grub. The food, to our delight was magnificant! However, I have never before witnessed such horrible service.
The waiter was rude and did not show much respect. He forgot basics such as bread or even water. I had called ahead and made certain arrangements for her birthday... which he forgot. They also "accidentally" added other items to our bill. What was particularly the deal-breaker was the waiter did not try to apologize when we spotted that he was trying to pull a quick one pass us.
If one is going to pay for a $80+ meal (plus wine), there has to be some basic level of service.
If you want a nice solid french restaurant in DC, I would recommend Tom Power's Corduroy in the Four-Points Sheraton.
I would recommend this place only if they offered take-out.
