Details: 3001 Connnecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008 · 202-673-4800 WOODLEY PARK. The National Zoo, part of the Smithsonian Institution, offers glimpses of more than 5000 animals. Home to many rare and endangered species, the zoo shelters residents in natural habitats on 163 acres. Perhaps the most popular attraction is the giant pandas, Mei Xiang and Tian Tian, who are on loan from the China Wildlife Conservation Association.
