GEORGETOWN.   Family-owned, this charming restaurant hugs the riverside, affording great views of the Potomac. An expansive patio brings the water even closer. A range of specialties and fresh entrees proves tempting, as hot crab dip and deep-fried alligator indicate. Other options include grilled tuna steaks or the day's fresh catches (the menu suggests how they're best prepared). If you want crab, lobster, or oysters, they're available too, along with chicken, steaks, and pastas. Wine and beer add fitting complements. Business casual to casual dress. Good for groups. The restaurant was over rated and mediocre at best. While the atmosphere was nice the food was over priced. Both the shrimp and baked potato were so tough you could hardly chew through them. The server was non-attentive even though the restaurant was slow. The Men’s toilet room was filthy with trash bins flowing over, not to mention the cleanliness of the stalls…

This was an extremely overrated seafood restaurant. The prior night we ate at Café 15 and had an exquisite experience. Tony and Joe's was nothing special. We were given a basket of bread with eaten or broken pieces in it. We had to ask for replacement silverware after appetizers. The Halibut was fair. The Red Snapper (Parmesan with Linguini) was baked to a rubbery state. The vegetables were mediocre. We were given a dockside view that was very nice and the waitress was attempting to make things work (but as they serve legions she was forgetful). Overall, I would call this the Bob Evans of Seafood restaurants.
