DOWNTOWN.   This large dining room feels like a masculine, clubby steakhouse, but it's really a seafood restaurant. The interior boasts red leather booths, curving architectural details, and globe lamps. The menu is packed with all manner of treats – salmon, haddock, sea bass, rockfish, oysters, tuna, and more. Knowledgeable servers can advise you about the day's specials, which can be grilled, broiled, or Cajun-spiced. Smart casual dress. Reservations recommended.   (© 10Best)

Awesome! The waiter(Gregory) made us feel special, and when he learned it was my wife's birthday he brought out a nice brownie with ice cream and said Happy Birthday. Needless to say we loved the Oceanaire and look foward to revisting. The crab cake(appitizer) is great.. Perfect for a kid.meal.

For those who have not yet tried this magnificent restaurant, your time has come. While I am only getting ready to dine at this D.C. location for the first time, I know I will leave happy. I have frequented the Houston Oceanaire often. It has only been open for a few months; this D.C. Oceanaire has been open for several years. I'm sure to expect the same amazing fresh fish and professional, experienced waitstaff that I've come to look forward to in Houston.

In my opinion, this is not only the best restaurant in DC but the best in the US. The service is extraordinary and the food is beyond fresh and perfectly prepared.
