2. Duke's City Restaurant and Lounge

We visited Duke's City while celebrating my Mother's 88th birthday on Sunday evening. The waitress and the manager were so congenial and bent over backwards in their efforts to accomodate a party of greatly varying ages. The food, service and ambience were superb and we came away feeling that we had made friends for life with the caring staff. We can hardly wait for another visit to Washington in order to revisit Duke's on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday so that we may also enjoy the entertainment. But even without, I have to say our dinner at Duke's City was the highlight of our trip to your wonderful city. If you haven't been yet, GO!
