2. Laporta's Restaurant

We found the restaurant from this site and decided to go a bit late. They close at 10:00 pm (on Sundays) and we were afraid that the consistency would have been low given the lateness of our arrival (9:30). We were wrong, the bread was HOT and delicious, the salads were great. The fish specials were not only plated to perfection, they tasted wonderful. We appreciate the restaurant referral. Please don't hesitate to go. Free parking in the adjacent lot after 4:30!!

The food is delicious with generous portions, the service and atmosphere is warm and welcoming , the wine selection is extensive, and the parking is convenient. What's not to like?

Best restuarant in the DC, VA area, bar none. My wife and I rate LaPorta's above all the rest because of the service, quality, and overall experience. A wonderful restaurant at a reasonable price with live Jazz music!

The superb food, combined with the gentle live jazz/pop in the background, make for a marvelous evening.
