On February 19, 2008, President Lincoln’s Cottage at the Soldiers’ Home opens to the public for the first time, giving Americans an intimate, never-before-seen view of Abraham Lincoln’s presidency and family life. Designated a National Monument by President Clinton in 2000, President Lincoln’s Cottage served as Lincoln’s family residence for a quarter of his presidency and is the most significant historic site directly associated with Lincoln’s presidency aside from the White House. |

March will definitely go out like a lion as the world’s largest active and adventure travel show – the Adventures in Travel Expo (ATE) – takes DC by storm the weekend of March 29 & 30. In an effort for everyone to have the ability to experience the art of standup comedy the way it was intended to be, “Live,” The DC Improv is pleased to announce our new monthly series, “Pay What You Can Night.”
We understand that not all people are in a position to see live comedy due to their financial situations, now simply, “Pay What You Can.”
The kickoff night will begin on Wednesday, April 30th featuring comedian Marc Maron, our normal ticket price for this show is $15.00. After that one night a month will be announced as “Pay What You Can Night.” Our two item minimum will not be enforced for this show; however our 18 years and older policy will remain in effect.
Tickets are available only the night of the show on a first come first served basis upon availability. |

Bob Newhart’s career has spanned two successful television shows, 14 feature films and millions of albums sold worldwide and he still performs to sell-out crowds all over the country. His first album, The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart, was the first comedy album to go to #1 on the charts, and is still ranked as the twentieth best-selling album of all time, according to Billboard. Mr. Newhart also earned an Emmy and a Peabody award for his work on the Bob Newhart Variety Show and later had phenomenal success with The Bob Newhart Show (1972-1978) and Newhart (1982-1990).
