Heritage Center

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE. Located on Sheppard Air Force Base, the Heritage Center is a must for military and aviation buffs. The center boasts a unique collection of artifacts, most of which chronicle the base's growth and its close ties to Wichita Falls. It also features a state-of-the-art theater. The building that houses the center, known to locals as the Little Adobe, is a listed historical site and was one of the first structures erected at Kell Field, Wichita Falls' first municipal airport.
