7. Williamsburg's Grand Illumination

The Buzz -- Christmas in Williamsburg is magical, and the season kicks off with the annual Grand Illumination. The first Sunday in December, more than 30,000 people take to the streets of Colonial Williamsburg for music, candlelight tours, a military tattoo and fireworks. Tickets are needed for some events, but most of the fun takes place in the streets free of charge. This has been a local tradition for several years now; if you are in town, don't miss it!
