7. King's Arms Tavern

COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG.   Another step back in time, this tavern has over 200 years of history behind it. Serving huge salads, oyster-stuffed filets, Colonial Game Pye and Mrs. Vobe's Peanut Soupe, this local institution has servers dressed in costume. Eight of the dining rooms are warmed by fireplaces, and there are strolling balladeers during dinner. WE had the best waiter ever!!! No wonder they have kept him for 20 years:) He was friendly yet knew he could give us a humorous hard time....we gave it right back! He also was very helpful in recommending other eating establishments that we requested we had appetizers & a couple of black & tans in the garden....PERFECT
