It's Mardi Gras every week. On the Bar Loop, some "loopsters" start and stay here. Check website for band schedule, special drink menus, photos and events.

TROLLEY SQUARE. Catherine Rooney's Irish Pub and Restaurant is a neighborhood establishment in the heart of the Trolley Square. Daytime it attracts the business lunch crowd and serves traditional Irish and American fare. With decor of brick walls, Irish flags and all things soccer and rugby, it is a great place to soak up some Irish heritage along with a Guinness. During happy hour, the pub gets busy 4-7pm, and drink specials are offered 5pm to close. Young professionals keep the energy high. DJs and Karaoke nights are weeknights, live Irish bands Saturday nights after 9pm keep the crowds dancing. Catherine's sports bar cousin, C.R. Home to the Delaware Symphony, Opera Delaware, First State Ballet, Contemporary Stage Company and City Theater Company, the Grand and Baby Grand, a 300-seat venue adjacent, include a diverse schedule of music and entertainment including local and touring bands, music, dance, comedy and December holiday performances.
