Located in the Horton Museum Center in the Old Salem Museums & Gardens, this museum consists of 24 period rooms and 6 galleries all featuring the decorative arts of the early South from three regions: the Chesapeake, the Low Country and the Backcountry. Exhibitions include furniture, painting, ceramics and metalware from before the 1820's. The bookstore offers a wide variety of books on southern arts.   (© 10Best)
