4. Ichiban Japanese Restaurant

Ichiban offers several types of teriyaki, simple salad with ginger dressing, miso soup, and vast amounts of just about any type of sushi. For the less courageous but still curious newcomer, try the cucumber roll (with cucumber, kelp, and rice); more experienced customers favor the California roll or the tiger roll; while the bravest savor the squid and fish eggs. Not a large restaurant, yet it provides a sushi bar towards the back, a teriyaki bar along the front (where customers can watch meals being prepared), and general seating. A relatively young clientele, but anyone with a love of true Japanese food, prompt and courteous service, and a short wait will be comfortable at Ichiban.   (© 10Best)
