The Guildhall, which originally dates back to the mid-1400s, had to have a massive facelift after being damaged in World War II. Formerly a place for the various guilds in town to meet, the Guildhall is now the historic home of the Council Chamber of the York City Council. See York's colorful history come to life in a vivid stained glass window inside. (© 10Best) More Details for GuildhallHours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm. Daily in summer (May-Oct).
