Built in the 14th century, Monk Bar is among the four gatehouses comprising the city's defense wall. Formerly a guardhouse, prison, and police station, Monk Bar has been recently employed as a Richard III Museum. The highlight of the tour is a stirring reenactment of the king's trial.
