When the York Trust participated in an archaeological dig in the 1980s, they made an amazing discovery – a wonderfully preserved home of a wealthy alderman that dated back to 1483. Barley Hall has been restored and today serves as an interactive experience for those who want to understand what life was really like in those times. Peek into chests of memorabilia, dress up in period costumes, or sit at the dinner table as it was then.
