6. Tomislav Square, Strossmayer and Zrinjevac Park

One half of Lenuci's horseshoe folds out in three elegant parks, each with its own historical buildings and monuments, forming one of Zagreb's favourite promenades. Starting from the Tomislav Square opposite the main railway station, follow the tree-lined alleys and you'll pass the Art Pavilion, Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences, the monument to J.J. Strossmayer, Archaeological Museum and the romantic pavilion in middle of Zrinjevac park, where the occasional live jazz or brass band brings back the charm of days gone by.
