The Buzz -- At this time of year it is back to basics - good old-fashioned puppets in all their imaginative roles and guises take over the stages of various Zagreb theatres. The festival was founded in 1968 with the much feted idea of an Esperanto-based event; however, in words of their website, "very soon ... puppets started speaking the national languages of their animators, and above all they spoke the universal language of puppets understandable by everyone." How can you not go?
