4. Palainovka

Having withstood the tides of time at this same location (just up from Radićeva Street) since 1844, Palainovka proudly stands as Zagreb's oldest café. Inside, bohemian old-world charm is complete with piano in the corner and photos and paintings of the years gone by. Sit outside on its raised terrace reigning over quiet Ilirski Square, and time becomes immaterial.
