5. Okrugljak

Okrugljak is practically an institution of Zagreb's traditional fine dining. Situated in verdant surroundings of Zagreb's Mt. Medvednica, it is a rustic affair, all wooden beams and local 'šestine' patterns, and this 100-year old establishment takes both its food and its service seriously. It offers very fine meat fare, with a veal shin cooked under 'peka' (a traditional clay dish) in its own juices being one of its most enduring specialties.
