5. Zurich Street Parade

The Buzz -- Strap your dancing shoes on, slather on some sunscreen, and get ready to sweat at Zurich's annual celebration of techno music, peace, freedom and tolerance. The festivities begin around 1pm, with the parade itself getting underway at 3:15pm. Some 30 Lovemobiles traverse a 2.4 km (1.5 mile) route through downtown streets, starting at Utoquai and finishing at Hafendamm Enge. From trucks and stages, the top DJs from around the world keep the revelers happy (about a million of them) until 10pm, when local clubs take over. Even if you don't plan to drink, you're much better off using public transportation to get around downtown. It runs until 4am, so you can stay out late!
