Carnival Vista named the world's most entertaining cruise ship!

Regal Princess, Carnival Breeze, Nieuw Amsterdam and Allure of the Seas also reader favorites

Book a trip on one of these 10 cruise ships, nominated by our panel of cruising experts and voted to the top by our readers, and you'll be wishing for more long days at sea to explore all the myriad entertainment options on offer, from bowling or skydiving at sea to Broadway-style shows and stand-up comedy.

Oasis of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International)
When Oasis of the Seas debuted, it was a game changer for entertainment. The three-level Opal Theater hosts performances of CATS, but the real highlight is the innovative AquaTheater, where onlookers watch divers, gymnasts and synchronized swimmers perform mighty impressive feats set to music. Daily activities abound, and with arcades, surf simulators and zip lines, guests have to work hard to be bored. Photo courtesy of Royal Caribbean International
Harmony of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International)
It should come as no surprise that Harmony of the Sea – the world's biggest cruise ship – is absolutely packed with things to see and do. Passengers can watch a live production of the Broadway hit Grease, awe at high-flying acrobats at the AquaTheater or laugh out loud at the hilarious and original Columbus, The Musical. Unique to Harmony of the Seas is Escape the Rubicon, an escape room at sea. Photo courtesy of Royal Caribbean International
MSC Divina (MSC Cruises)
Inspired by Sophia Loren, MSC Divina brings elegance to just about everything it offers, including its entertainment. The two-level Pantheon Theater hosts a variety of big productions, including an unusual pirate-themed acrobatics show. Younger passengers (and the young at heart) enjoy an arcade at Virtual World and an F1 Simulator at sea. Photo courtesy of MSC Cruises
Disney Dream (Disney Cruise Line)
Since Disney came to cruising from the entertainment industry, it's really no surprise that its fleet excels in this field. Aboard the Disney Dream, live productions include Disney's Believe and the guest-favorite The Golden Mickeys – a red carpet tribute to the films of Walt Disney. The Buena Vista Theater screens the latest Disney releases, sometimes in 3D. Passengers of all ages enjoy Disney's themed deck parties, like Pirate Night, that include fireworks at sea. Koningsdam (Holland America Line)
Unlike many ships with traditional theaters, Koningsdam's World Stage can transform with multiple configurations to best fit five productions. Live musicians entertain at Billboard Onboard, while Lincoln Center Stage presents live chamber music each evening. The sounds of Memphis set sail at B.B. King's Blues Club. Allure of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International)
Guests aboard Allure of the Seas look forward to sea days – the ship is loaded with so much to do. Thrill seekers can zip line, rock climb, sky dive and surf. Nighttime entertainment includes thrilling high dive feats at the outdoor AquaTheater, ice skating shows, a 3D movie theater and performances of the Broadway hit Mama Mia! Nieuw Amsterdam (Holland America Line)
Celebrating the history and glamor of New York City, Holland America's Nieuw Amsterdam excels at entertaining passengers, whether during a digital photography workshop, live cooking show with America's Test Kitchen or live music at B.B. King's Blues Club. Two more music venues will be added in December of 2017. Photo courtesy of Holland America Line
Carnival Breeze (Carnival Cruise Line)
Carnival's "Fun Ship" mentality makes it no surprise that Breeze is a winner in the entertainment arena, especially for kids and teens, who have things like Seuss at Sea and Hasbro, The Game Show, SportsSquare and the 3D Thrill Theater to enjoy. There's plenty on offer for adults too: live concerts, Punchliner Comedy Club, cooking demos and live musicals by Playlist Productions. Photo courtesy of Carnival Cruise Lines
Regal Princess (Princess Cruises)
The Princess Theater aboard Regal Princess is one of the largest theaters in the fleet. Within, passengers are treated to live musical productions, as well as a variety of other live acts. A poolside screen on the Lido deck screens movies, sporting events and concerts under the stars (with free fresh-popped popcorn), while the Princess Live! TV studio presents comedy shows, cooking demos, concerts and destination lectures. Photo courtesy of Princess Cruises
Carnival Vista (Carnival Cruise Line)
Fun takes many forms aboard Carnival's newest cruise ship, Carnival Vista. SportsSquare features a new attraction unique to Vista, SkyRide – a combination between a bicycle and a zip line. The Carnival Multiplex screens IMAX films, while a three-deck-tall main theater hosts multiple Playlist Productions on each sailing. Photo courtesy of Danny Lehman
