    #10 - Galleria Park Hotel - San Francisco, CA

    San Francisco's Green-certified Joie de Vivre hotel, known for its warm hospitality and high style, has eco-friendly dog bowls made from recycled materials and organic biscuits. Party animals can take part in Yappy Hour Thursdays to Sundays and the hotel’s outdoor Park Terrace provides breathtaking city views.  Even in the summer, canines can use a sweater in the City by the Bay, where dogs often outnumber children and plenty  four-legged visitors are welcome.

    #9 - The Loden - Vancouver, Canada

    With an enviable location on the edge of downtown's Coal Harbour, The Loden puts guests in a perfect position to take their four-legged friends to nearby Stanley Park.  Stanley Park boasts one of Vancouver’s 36 off-leash areas and is one of only four that is fenced in. The latest copy of Modern Dog magazine, complimentary to hotel guests staying with their pawsh pooches, is included in the slew of pet amenities.

    #8 - The Little Nell - Aspen, CO

    Size doesn’t matter at The Little Nell, where all pets are welcome regardless of weight.  The hotel's Puppy Jet Lag kit can comes in handy for those bringing pooches to this ritzy resort town, where doggie treats are doled out at businesses and pups on restaurant pawtios are a common sight. In addition to a slew of other amenities, the Little Nell gives its two-legged guests a book on petiquette:  guidelines for pets and their people.

    #7 - Loews Coronado Bay Resort - San Diego, CA

    Pooches can 'hang 20' when they check into this laid-back hotel in a county laden with dog-friendly beaches.  Teevan McManus, the hotel’s canine surfing instructor, teaches pets how to ride waves. Afterward, furry friends can retreat to their room for a gourmet meal from the in-room doggie dining menu room. Loews Loves Pets program also showers four-legged guests with amenities and the hotel has a dog-friendly restaurant, plus offers pet-walking and pet-sitting services.

    #6 - W Hotel Midtown - Atlanta, GA

    Cool cats and haute dogs are welcome at any W Hotel, where the brand’s P.A.W. (Pets Are Welcome) program makes sure those with paws have an exceptional time. Purebreds can mingle at Mutts & Martinis, a regular yappy hour held on the Living Room patio of this Midtown hotel, and benefitting benefit Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. The hotel is also within walking distance of Atlanta’s most iconic green space, Piedmont Park (a.k.a. Doggie Heaven).

    #5 - Hotel Monaco - Alexandria, VA

    Locals lounging here with their little pals is such a common scene that local call this property Hotel Dogaco. Believed to be one of the first places to host Yappy Hour (when it was still a Holiday Inn Select) the Hotel Monaco’s Yappy Hour (Tuesdays and Thursdays from April to October) is an Old Town Institution. Guests can stay at this, or ANY Kimpton Hotel, without ever paying a pet fee, and bring as many pets, any size or breed. as they want.

    #4 - Fairmont - Washington, DC

    One doesn’t have to be First Dog Bo Obama to enjoy the Fairmont's pet-friendly Afternoon Tea.  It's served in the Loggia, overlooking the serene courtyard garden of this Georgetown hotel. Pooches can nibble on house-made turkey and rolled oat pate on toast; vegetable and whole grain meatballs; or carrot and peanut butter cupcakes and organic rice milk. Dogs staying here receive healthy treats handmade by the hotel's Executive Chef.

    #3 - The Benjamin - New York City, NY

    Many hotels in the Big Apple allow four-legged guests, but the new pet program launching at The Benjamin this September offers everything a pampered pet needs to enjoy travels in tail-wagging style. This Midtown East gem offers welcome amenities, an in-room pet mini bar, around-the-clock access to a veterinarian and new pet beds. Each visiting pooch receives a gift basket from BarkBox filled with toys and treats specific to the size of your pet.  No pet fee or weight limits add to the enticement of The Benjamin.

    #2 - Red Mountain Resort - St. George, UT

    Guests at Red Mountain Resort, regularly participate in the complimentary Pound Puppy Hike, which allows them to take a pleasant pooch from the Ivins’ City No-Kill Animal Shelter for a three- to four-mile hike through St. George Valley.  Resort guests fall in love with the gorgeous scenery, the healthy vibe and their temporary best friends, who are available for adoption.

    #1 - El Portal Sedona Hotel - Sedona, AZ

    Furry friends accompany 70% of the guests who check in to El Portal Sedona Hotel, built by a pet lover with dogs in mind. Fenced yards on the bottom floor give Rover room to romp. The dog-themed bath towel to dry him after a dip in one of Sedona’s swimming holes or rinse following a hike in Red Rock country is a nice touch. Plus, the staff pet sits for free, and even feeds and walks guests’ dogs.
