Phoenix foodies will soon be able to indulge in a new bakery and cafe featuring specialty pastries and breads from acclaimed local baker Julie Moreno. Jewel's Bakery & Cafe will serve gluten-free pastries and breads, as well as light cafe fare - all made from scratch with her signature flour blends.
Along with cookies, cupcakes, breads, cakes, muffins, scones, biscotti and donuts, the menu at Jewel's Bakery & Cafe will also feature a selection of light lunch fare like grilled cheese sandwiches, lasagna and build-your-own pizzas. Dairy-free and vegan-friendly menu items are expected to draw health-conscious diners to the new east side cafe.

The cafe and bakery will offer counter service with seating for 40 inside, as well as a large outdoor patio. At least for now, the bakery and cafe will be open for breakfast and lunch only.
Want to take a piece of Jewel's Bakery & Cafe home with you? The cafe is expected to offer takeaway meals such as frozen pizzas.
Guests will also be able to pick up a loaf of homemade bread - already very popular at Phoenix area farmers markets - including popular varieties like parmesan focaccia, vegan ciabatta, dairy-free pumpkin bread, vegan flatbread and homemade bagels. Customers with special dietary needs or food allergies can even request made-to-order breads that fit their diet.
