Tucked away in an intimate corner of the Alhambra Shopping Bazaar, strollers and shoppers will find Aruba’s Twist of Flavors (alias "TOF," the Dutch word for "cool").
Executive Chef Gerben de Lange (former Chef of Fishes & More and The Paddock Cafe) must have fallen in love with Aruba. After a couple of years in The Netherlands, he couldn’t resist returning to the island to start a new venture, together with Dutch couple and Co-owners Susan Toonen and Bas Kruisselbrink.
An irresistible team has hit Aruba’s low-rise area. TOF brings smart and delightful eating out options to the vacation itinerary.

On the open terrace or in the air-conditioned dining room, guests can warm up their appetites. Start with a delicious martini of the day, your favorite frozen cocktail or chilled local beer.
Appetizers such as the Asian beef strips with wakame salad are sure to please. For a little sampling tour, order the TOF Trio to enjoy a shot of freshly made tomato soup, succulent bites of smoked salmon and garlic shrimp au gratin.
Twist of Flavors’ menu is well-arranged. Apart from the kitchen specials, there’s an array of international favorites like Caribbean lobster tail, US farmed beef and Italian-inspired pasta. de Lange brings simplicity to traditional and non-traditional plates.
The pure taste of natural ingredients in combination with carefully selected flavors is the main focus at TOF.
Popular entrees are the marinated beef or veggie skewers with signature bourbon barbecue sauce, perfectly steamed vegetables and pan-fried potatoes.
Bigger appetites should go for the surf 'n' turf or Neptune’s Special stir fried seafood mix. Add extra sides for only $3 per generous portion.
Wave for the menu, not for the check, please. For some, the best part is yet to come.
The Blackwater’s Peach with vanilla tart, ice cream, poached peach and Grand Marnier orange sauce is an excellent choice. Dessert-skippers who prefer coffee could get a real kick out of the aromatic and flavorful espresso martini.
Take your time and enjoy some typically Dutch natafelen (after-dinner lingering): relax, converse, laugh and have a cup of coffee or a night cap. Enjoy good company and a smooth digestion.
The night is young and entertainment just a few steps away. Alhambra Shopping Bazaar offers a couple of cozy after-dinner hangouts, like the neighboring Fusion Piano Bar and the not-to-be-missed Alhambra Casino.
