About Aruba Shopping
From upscale shopping malls filled with the most luxurious brands, exquisite restaurants, movie theaters and casino, to the sweet and colorful handicraft and souvenir kiosks along the harbor - Aruba has it all and everything in between. Stroll through historic downtown Oranjestad, browse the local shops, try a Pastechi (an authentic Aruban snack) and make sure to take a picture with the brand new I LOVE ARUBA sign in front of the government office building. For more entertainment and late-night shopping, the high-rise hotel area offers the newest malls, bars, clubs and dining choices on the island. While downtown stores are open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 6 pm, shopping hours in and around the hotels remain open to 9 pm. For the shop till you drop customers who want to cover the whole island, book a round-trip to Aruba's "Sunrise City" San Nicolas, where the Carubbian Festival takes place every Thursday from 6 pm to 10 pm and shop, mingle, party with the locals.
