5 Blu Bar & Grill
Although it bills itself as a "light steak house," Blu is much more. The Belmont Hills Golf Club restaurant does indeed feature steaks, and good ones at that, but the variety of alternatives is refreshing — this is no stodgy, old-fashioned steak place. Many of the dishes have a touch of the American Southwest with ingredients like tomatillos, jalapenos, chipotles, fresh salsas and black beans, but you'll also find Asian, Italian and Bermudian flavors. Start with shrimp ceviche, then try cilantro pesto black cod, macadamia-crusted wild salmon with pineapple-poblano salsa, or an ancho-coffee rubbed certified Angus filet mignon. Excellent, and growing, wine list. (441-232-2323, 441-236-6400)

4 Harley's
A top pick for breakfast and Sunday brunch, Harley's has also become popular for dinner. Prime, dry-aged beef is certainly a draw, but the menu features a number of appealing options, from pastas to grilled seafood. Try to get a table on the terrace! (441-295-3000)

3 Fourways Inn
This elegant Continental restaurant is located in a historic Georgian home. The creative cuisine is based around the freshest local ingredients. The house specialty is thin-sliced veal served with a tangy citrus sauce. Another favorite is charcoal-broiled tuna with scallions, sun-dried tomatoes and peppers. Vegetarians can dine quite well here, too. One of the best wine cellars on the island offers vintages to complement every meal. (441-236-6517, 800-962-7654)

2 Landfall
This homey eatery is housed in a quaint old cottage. The unpretentious menu focuses on favorites like Bermuda fish-and-chips and chowder. For dessert, try the moist and tangy homemade gingerbread. A limited wine menu is available. (441-293-1322)

1 Henry VIII Restaurant, Sushi Bar & Pub
This fun restaurant surrounds you in classic Tudor splendor. Heavy oak furniture, polished brass and period light fixtures all combine to create a rustic yet elegant ambiance. Lunches are top-shelf pub fare such as steak and kidney pie or fish-and-chips. The dinner menu is a traditional English mixed grill. Fresh seafood, prime rib and chateaubriand are all excellent. For something lighter, try the curried vegetable strudel. After 9pm, live entertainment begins. You can see the stage from any of the three dining areas or from the pub. So linger over your coffee and dessert and laugh along with the comedians, groove to the calypso band or hum with the keyboardist. (441-238-1977)
