Beer and barbecue. When done right, it’s a culinary match made in heaven. And at Babe’s Bar-B-Que and Brewhouse in Rancho Mirage, they bring the best of both worlds together under one roof for a stellar lunch or dinner.

Started by restaurateur Don Callender (who also launched the Marie Callender’s restaurants), Babe’s offers a barbecue menu that covers all the bases. From Texas tri-tip and barbecue chicken to baby backs and St. Louis-style ribs, you can satisfy your need for ‘cue – no matter what style or cut is your ultimate favorite.
Also not to be missed are the barbecue sandwiches, which can be made with pulled pork or chicken, hot link sausages, brisket or tri-tip. Specialty sandwiches include the Texas Tornado, made with hot link sausage and brisket, and the Southern Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy.

But once you get past that savory barbecue smell that lingers throughout the western-themed restaurant, it’s time to dig into the restaurants other pride and joy: craft beer. Babe’s is an award-winning microbrewery with a range of house offerings, including the ever-popular Honey Blonde Ale and the gold medal-winning Blackfin Lager. Other house brews include the 29 Palms Pale Ale and the Red Dawn Rye Imperial IPA.
Babe’s also regularly carries dozens of hand-picked craft beers from top breweries like Stone, Allagash and Lost Abbey.
