10 Best Hotels Near Petco Park in San Diego

PETCO Park is an awesome open air ballpark that combines some of the best sight lines in baseball with panoramic views of downtown San Diego. The architectural design is worthy enough of a visit as it incorporates buildings that were existing prior to the park's construction. Amenities here are also state-of-the-art. The Padres Major League Baseball team plays home games here during the season, but tours of the park are available year-round.

The other benefit to booking a hotel near PETCO Park is that some of San Diego's best restaurants and shopping are located within easy walking distance. The trolley stops near the park, too, and can take guests into Old Town or even to the border of Mexico.

The largest and perhaps most luxurious option is the recently-renovated Manchester Hyatt. Amenities here include a posh spa, bay view rooms, basketball courts, multiple swimming pools and more for families to enjoy. The young professional set may prefer the Hard Rock Hotel with it's trendy pool area and Float nightclub. It's not the best choice for families but it does enjoy a trendy vibe for those who like to stay up late.

Baseball game or not, a hotel near PETCO Park is a great option for your San Diego vacation.
