Seafood: Ceviche House is a neighborhood spot for ceviche that began due to the popularity of Chef Juan Carlos Recamier's fresh ceviche sold to-go at San Diego Farmer's Markets. The restaurant works directly with local fishing vessels to source sustainable and fresh ingredients. Acapulco (seasonal local white fish) and Puerto (shrimp) Ceviche as well as the Shrimp Aguachile are the most traditional Mexican items on the menu. All ceviches are served on your choice of a baked tostada, lettuce wedge or a bowl of ceviche with chips on the side. They also have warm items on the menu such as the Gobernador Tostada (fire roasted shrimp and cheese) which pays homage to the Gobernador Taco in Mexico using homemade chipotle sauce which is very popular with guests. Ceviches are so fresh that once they're gone, they're gone as this restaurant will never serve frozen fish.
