Fashion’s Night Out is a late-night retail celebration that began in New York in 2009 and has since spread to cities in 18 countries. In 2012, Toronto is joining the party.

On September 6, some of Toronto’s hottest fashion spots will keep the doors open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., for clothing and cocktail parties, music, appearances by designers, discounts, giveaways  and so much more.  Toronto is already known for its great selection of fashion-forward retailers, from global brands to designer boutiques, so shoppers are guaranteed to discover some great finds during Fashion’s Night Out Toronto.

In New York, the event coincides with the opening of the city’s fashion week. And Toronto’s first Fashion’s Night Out is timed perfectly, too: September 6 is the opening day of the Toronto International Film Festival, one of the city’s most anticipated annual events.  While Toronto clothing retailers are still signing on to participate, the list of stores who’ve already joined the party is impressive. High-fashion neighborhoods like Queen Street West and Bloor-Yorkville are represented, and Toronto’s trendy Yorkdale Shopping Centre will open for those looking for many retailers under one roof.
