Going on a cruise with your special someone and docking in Vancouver? The city’s natural wonders and excellent restaurants set the stage for a romantic half day in Vancouver. The main cruise ship terminal is located right in the middle of Vancouver’s downtown and Gastown neighborhoods, making it a breeze to get around in the city no matter what time constraints you’re on.
The Seawall that stretches around much of Vancouver is literally right at your feet as you get off the cruise ship, and a stroll around this paved path will treat you to some magnificent views, beaches and perfect photo opportunities. Didn't pack your bike so you can explore the path around Stanley Park? No worries!
Along Denman Street and West Georgia Street, you'll find a handful of bike rental shops where you can rent a bike for a few hours or the entire day. This area is easy to get to by bus, taxi or foot; it’s about a 20-25 minute walk. You can rent single bikes or share the journey by renting a tandem bike–just make sure you both have great balance if you rent the latter!
Along your bike ride, enjoy fresh air from the sea, take pictures of the beautiful old-growth trees and stop along one of the beaches to soak up a little sun together. If you’re riding at a leisurely pace, it should take you about 1.5 to two hours.

There are a few food concessions along the perimeter of the park, but it's best to head to the Tea House in the heart of the park for a bite to eat. The Fish House is another lovely restaurant that’s within Stanley Park and serves West Coast cuisine.
You can also make your way back down to Canada Place and continue walking into Gastown for a meal. Gastown is Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood and the architecture, cobbled streets, stylish boutiques and delicious restaurants are an urban lovers’ paradise. There are cute cafes, pubs and finer dining establishments scattered throughout the neighborhood, making it a perfect spot for any mood you're in.

This location is great for both men and women because it has all the bells and whistles the ladies like, and the extra mile has been taken to make men feel comfortable in this soothing atmosphere. Should something more low-key be on your mind, plunk down a towel or two and enjoy a little rest and relaxation at English Bay Beach. Denman Street is home to a variety of eateries, where you can grab something to go and enjoy al fresco on the sand.
Even though your time may be short in Vancouver, you don’t have to compromise romantic activities during your stop-over in the city.
