In partnership with London-based developer McArthurGlen Group (Known as Europe's leading owner, developer and manager of designer outlets, the McArthurGlen Group is no stranger to designer outlets.), the Vancouver Airport Authority has been building the luxury designer outlet center on Vancouver International Airport land since January 2014.
The European-inspired, open-air, village-style shopping center features luxury piazzas, plenty of tree-lined streets, pedestrian-friendly walkways, unique architecture and a dancing fountain.
For phase one, 100 designer and luxury brands from Europe and North America are set to open their doors. Shoppers can look forward to paying up to 70 percent less, year-round.
When phase two is completed, there will be 150 stores that stretch over 400,000 square feet.
Just some of the brands you can expect to find at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport include the following:
- Banana Republic
- Caffè Artigiano
- Calvin Klein
- Cole Haan
- Crabtree & Evelyn
- Estée Lauder
- Hugo Boss
- J. Crew
- Under Armour
- Ammolite Jewelry
- Mavi Jeans
- Peoples Jewellers
- Polo Ralph Lauren
- Polo Kids
- Ryuu Izakaya
- Secret Location
After all of that shopping, chances are you're going to need some sustenance and a little break at some point; there are restaurants, cafes and open-air seating areas where you can kick back and relax.
Shopping with kids? A children's playground and on-site entertainment will keep everyone happy.
Added bonuses you'll find here are free Canada Line access from YVR, multilingual staff, a tourism information desk, real-time flight information on screens throughout the outlet and a luggage storage facility that's super handy if you're traveling to and from the nearby airport.
Whether you're coming from downtown or the airport, getting to the outlet is fast and easy. When coming from downtown, it's about a 20-minute journey on the Canada Line. The outlet is just across the street from the Canada Line's Templeton Station.
If you're driving, the shopping center will offer more than 2,500 adjacent parking spaces to complement its Canada Line access.
