Shopping in Vancouver: Get Your Pre- and Post-Cruise Essentials



Craving a little retail therapy after your time at sea? You're in luck! The Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal is located right in the middle of Vancouver's downtown core and many shopping districts.

The Inuit Gallery in Gastown is home to many beautiful pieces of Northwest Coast Native and Inuit art, many of which you can purchase. You'll find something for most budgets here, but one thing's for sure – you won't find these anywhere else.

When paying a visit to Canada, it's only fitting that you visit one of the most iconic department stores – it's a local favorite! The Hudson's Bay Company carries a range of mid- to high-end brands throughout their departments. You'll find everything from stuff for the home, shoes, make-up, jewelry, clothes and more. 

Swimco has the best selection of bathing suits and is about five blocks up from the cruise ship terminal. Ladies can choose from stylish bikinis to classic one-pieces, while the men's section has a number of stylish and classic cuts .

When going on vacation, it's sometimes easier to leave certain things at home and buy them when you get to your destination. Things like toiletries, batteries, suntan lotion and snacks are often on this list and London Drugs is the place to go to get all of your essentials. It's about a ten minute walk up from the cruise ship terminal.
