A legend in western wear, Rockmount claims to have premiered the Western shirt with snaps and popularized the bolo tie. These days, the line has expanded into apparel, accessories, and hats for men, women, and children, but the company still works from its 1908 brick building. The family enterprise was begun in 1946 by Jack A. Weil, who regularly worked in the office until his passing at the age of 107. His presence apparently tapped into a longstanding trend; even Hollywood celebrities regularly sport Rockmount garments.
